Charlie Boulding One of Alaska’s most beloved mushers, Charlie Boulding, lives on his homestead with his wife and sled dogs an hour’s boat ride from the end of the road north of Fairbanks. Here in this remote wilderness, Charlie and Robin grow their own vegetables, catch their salmon from the river, and hang the fish on traditional drying racks. From this meager existence, they have remained competitive with the well-financed Iditarod teams from Alaska and around the world.
